A Hub where Past, Present and Future unites! -A visit to Pushpa Gujral Science City.

 Nestled in the serene town of Kapurthala, Punjab, Pushpa Gujral Science City is a paradise for science enthusiasts and curious minds. Spread across a sprawling 72 acres, this unique science center is a treasure trove of knowledge, fun, and adventure. On a recent visit with my college mates, I had the opportunity to explore its many wonders, and the highlight of my day was undoubtedly the Dino Park.

A Hub of Scientific Exploration:

As soon as I entered the gates, the futuristic architecture of the Science City greeted me. The sprawling complex is home to interactive exhibits, a 3D theater, a digital planetarium, and various galleries dedicated to different fields of science. From space exploration to human biology, there was something to ignite curiosity in every corner. 

One of the first exhibits I explored was the "Space and Aviation Gallery," which featured scale models of spacecrafts, satellites, and even a mock-up of a space station. The hands-on exhibits allowed me to engage with science in an immersive way. Another one was the "Fun Science" gallery, where optical illusions and simple experiments showcased the beauty of everyday science.

The Dino Park: A Step Back in Time

After soaking in the wonders of modern science, it was time for the segment of the day I was most intrigued about; a journey into the prehistoric world of the Dino Park. As soon as I entered, I was greeted by life-sized dinosaur replicas that transported me millions of years back to the Jurassic era.

The unique aspect was the animatronic dinosaurs, which moved and roared, making the experience feel  real. Children and adults alike marveled at the towering T-Rex and the gentle, long-necked Brachiosaurus. Informative placards accompanied each dinosaur, detailing their habitat, diet, and extinction theories. It was fascinating to see families and friends bond over this educational yet entertaining site.

The exhibits are not just static displays but interactive experiences that encourage visitors to think, explore, discover and ignite their inquisitive flames. The Dino Park, with its combination of entertainment and education, is a testament to this philosophy.

By the end of my visit, I was thoroughly impressed by the sheer scale and vision of Pushpa Gujral Science City. It’s not just a place for science enthusiasts but a destination where families, students, and travelers can come and spend some time together as well as explore and learn.
