What is EDU-REV?

 On 26th of January 2025, during the auspicious occasion of 76th Republic Day of India celebrations, Lovely Professional University (LPU) unveiled a groundbreaking initiative called "Edu Revolution" (EDU-REV). This program aims to transform the face of traditional education by empowering students to take control of their learning journeys. Dr. Ashok Kumar Mittal, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) and Founder Chancellor of LPU, emphasized that just as the Indian Constitution grants 18-year-olds the right to vote, LPU will now enable students to have a say in designing their own syllabus and curriculum.

The Edu Revolution initiative shifts the educational paradigm from passive to active learning. Students are given the autonomy to decide what, how, and when they learn, as well as how they are evaluated. This personalized approach is further enhanced by artificial intelligence, which tailors learning experiences, creates dynamic tools, and boosts engagement and efficiency. While acknowledging potential challenges, Dr. Mittal expressed confidence in the collaborative efforts of students and faculty to develop an innovative educational model.

Through Edu Revolution, various departments at LPU have launched specialized programs. For eg: The School of Civil Engineering introduced the EDU Revolution Program, integrating cutting-edge technology, hands-on projects, and industry-aligned curricula to prepare future civil engineers.  Similarly, the School of Computer Application and School of Agriculture announced the Edu-Revolution Competition, held from February 5th to February 12th, 2025, providing students with opportunities to apply their knowledge in practical scenarios.

Through the EDU-REV initiative, students can reap multiple benefits such as Waivered Attendance, Class Assignment (CA) Relaxation, choosing what subjects should be implemented in their curriculum and so much more.

Also, LPU's commitment to honoring national heroes is very evident through the "Rakshak Samman Anudhan" Scholarship, dedicated to our Armed Forces personnel and the families that depend on them. This scholarship reflects the university's respect for those who serve our nation.
