But did you know about the much deeper and sorrowful significance this day holds for India? The Pulwama attack: a tragic event that shook the nation’s conscience and became one of the deadliest terrorist attacks in India's history. This day is now observed as a Black Day to honor the brave soldiers who lost their lives and to remind the world of the sacrifices made for the country’s security and peace.

What Happened on February 14, 2019?

On this ill-fated day, a suicide bomber from the Pakistan-based terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) rammed a vehicle filled with explosives into a convoy of CRPF (Central Reserve Police Force) personnel in Pulwama, Jammu and Kashmir. The attack resulted in the tragic loss of 40 brave soldiers, leaving the nation in shock and grief. The incident not only intensified India’s counterterrorism efforts but also highlighted the threats posed by cross-border terrorism.
